In June 2025, the closed qualifiers for the Esports World Cup 2025 in Dota 2 kicked off. Teams from six regions are competing for spots in the main summer tournament, which will take place from July 7 to July 19 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia . Each region has only one slot available for the championship.
Western Europe
AVULUS secured a place in the grand final by defeating MOUZ with a score of 2:1 in the upper bracket final. In the lower bracket, NAVI Junior claimed victories over 1win Team (2:1) and MOUZ (2:0), earning a ticket to the decisive match. In the grand final, NAVI Junior defeated AVULUS with a score of 3:1, securing a slot for the Esports World Cup 2025.
North America
Shopify Rebellion confidently advanced to the grand final by defeating Wildcard with a score of 2:0 in the upper bracket final. In the lower bracket, Yoru Ryodan overcame 9z Team (2:0) but then lost to Wildcard with a score of 0:2 in the lower bracket final. In the decisive match, Shopify Rebellion faced Wildcard again and won 3:0, securing a slot for the Esports World Cup 2025.
Middle East, South Asia, and Africa
The qualification stage began on June 8. In the first round of the upper bracket, Nigma Galaxy defeated sifr00 with a score of 2:0, and Virtus.Pro claimed victory over Team Secret —2:1. On June 9, in the upper bracket final, Nigma Galaxy will face Virtus.Pro . Meanwhile, sifr00 and Team Secret will continue their fight in the lower bracket.
Southeast Asia
The qualification stage in Southeast Asia is gaining momentum. In the first round of the upper bracket, BOOM Esports defeated Kukuys with a score of 2:1, Tech Free Gaming beat Yangon Galacticos —2:0, Execration confidently passed Castawake —2:0, and Ivory proved stronger than InterActive Philippines —2:0. In the upper bracket semifinals, BOOM Esports and Execration claimed victory and will now face each other in the final for a spot in the grand final. In the lower bracket, Yangon Galacticos , Ivory , Tech Free Gaming , and Castawake continue their battle.
Eastern Europe
The qualifying stage is scheduled for June 11–13. In the first round, Natus Vincere will meet ESpoiled , Runa Team will face One Move , TEAM NEXT LEVEL will play against 4Pirates , and L1ga Team will compete with Cyber Goose.
South America
Regional qualifiers also start on June 11. In the opening matches, Team Den will face Estar Backs , Edge will compete against Veritas Brothers , and OG.LATAM will play against Team Sin Compromiso . In the semifinals, Heroic is already waiting for the winner of the Den/Estar matchup.
The closed qualifiers will be the final stage of selection for the Esports World Cup 2025 in Dota 2. In each of the six regions, teams are fighting for the sole ticket to the tournament in Riyadh. You can follow the match schedule and current results via the link.
