On August 6, Dota 2 released update 7.39d, introducing a new feature in the main menu — "Quatero's Curiosities". Instead of the screen showing the results of the last game, players are now greeted by a new character — a talking goat named Quatero, who will hand out cosmetic items for playing Dota 2.

How does Quatero work?
It's simple: play Dota 2 — you'll earn experience for both wins and losses. As you accumulate experience, your level in "Quatero's Curiosities" will increase, and with each level, you'll receive free rewards.

Available rewards include:

Two unique sets for Legion Commander;
Sets for Vengeful Spirit and Witch Doctor;
Effects for teleportation, courier killing, and hero appearance;
Special decorations and stylish items for heroes.

All content is available for free — the system does not replace battle passes or events but merely complements them. During breaks between major events, Quatero will appear in the menu more frequently, while during events, he will temporarily take a back seat.

Quatero is not just a "welcome screen" but a full-fledged companion for the player. He generously rewards, endlessly chats, and seems intent on staying in the game for a long time.
