Hanwha Life Esports Eliminated from Esports World Cup 2025

Time: 2025-07-17 14:05 (UTC)

In the first playoff match of the Esports World Cup 2025, Anyone’s Legend confidently defeated Hanwha Life Esports with a score of 2:1, advancing to the tournament semifinals. The Chinese team demonstrated dominance on the first map and managed to outplay HLE in crucial moments of the second, securing a clean series victory.

The series began with a true rout: Anyone’s Legend immediately took the initiative, fully controlled the map, and easily finished the first game in their favor. Hanwha Life couldn't find an answer to their opponent's aggressive style. On the second map, the situation changed — this time, HLE acted better around objectives, won key team fights, and managed to equalize the series.

The third map started off tough for AL, but after a rocky start, the team regrouped, won several crucial fights in a row, and completely took control. It was their confident actions in team fights that allowed Anyone’s Legend to close the series with a 2:1 score and advance to the semifinals

where they will play against the winner of the T1 /MKOI matchup.

The MVP of the match was Tarzan — the experienced jungler of AL completely outplayed his opponent in the jungle, setting the pace for the entire series. His decisions and initiations allowed the team not only to gain a macro advantage but also to win most of the fights.

Best Moment of the Match
The best moment of the match was the first team fight on the third map of the confrontation. Despite a stronger situation for HLE, Kael on Bard and Flandre on K'sante turned the team fight in their favor and began to dominate the map:
