Peanut Announces Military Service After Season Ends

The jungler for  Hanwha Life Esports , Han “Peanut” Wang-ho, announced that he will begin his mandatory military service in 2026.

He shared his plans after the last match at LoL Park on September 20, leaving gifts and a thank-you card for the staff and hosts of the arena.

In his note, Peanut expressed gratitude for the years spent in the LCK and emphasized the importance of the journey:

Thank you for everything. Because of you, I was able to have valuable moments. This small gift is a token of my appreciation.

Before heading to service, Peanut will finish the season. He will participate in the grand finals of the LCK 2025 Season, and then compete in the Worlds 2025, which will be his last tournaments before the break. In Korea , men under the age of 28 are required to serve in the military for up to 18 months. Wang-ho will turn 28 in 2026, making the draft mandatory in the next season.

Peanut began his career in 2014 and is considered one of the most successful and recognizable junglers in LCK history. Throughout his career, he has played for  ROX Tigers , SKT T1,  Generation Gaming LGD Gaming , and Hanwha Life Esports . His upcoming departure marks a significant milestone in the generational shift among Korean players.
