LEC Team Emotes Return to League of Legends for All Ten Clubs

Time: 2025-09-23 19:00 (UTC)

On September 22, the League of Legends EMEA Championship announced the release of a new series of emotes for all ten LEC teams.

This is the second wave, with the first launched in the latter half of 2024, covering seven top-tier Riot Games leagues.

Each emote costs 350 RP (approximately €2), with clubs receiving €0.7 from each purchase. Last year, 30% of the revenue went directly to the organizations, becoming an important income source for esports teams.

Emotes for Fans and Clubs

The new emotes are now available for all LEC participants, with each team receiving its own unique style. For instance,  Karmine Corp  continued their tradition of creating provocative content and released the “Loser Queue” emote.  G2 Esports  included a nod to their famous "burger flip" moments at late-game objectives.  Team Heretics  introduced an emote featuring Draven, mimicking the signature celebration of Victor "Flakked" Lirola.  Natus Vincere  unveiled a crying Ezreal emote, while  Team BDS  received a design that doesn't reflect the club itself, possibly linked to an upcoming rebranding.

Opportunities for Other Regions

Riot Games is already testing similar emotes in LTA South and North. For example,  FlyQuest  showcased a minion with the LTA Cup, and  Vivo Keyd Stars  featured Ezreal with a characteristic victory animation. In the future, emotes can be expected to return in other regions, although there is no official news about the Asian leagues yet.

These in-game items have become part of Riot's strategy to strengthen the financial standing of clubs. Besides Worlds skins and battle passes, emotes allow organizations to earn additional revenue, expand fan support, and diversify the esports economy.
