Generation Gaming Duro: "I can't say I'm completely satisfied. I still have to play in the semifinals"

Time: 2025-10-29 23:00 (UTC)

Generation Gaming  secured their spot in the semifinals of Worlds 2025 by defeating  Hanwha Life Esports  with a score of 3:1.

The South Korean team demonstrated confidence and resilience on the international stage, and the team's support player, Chu “Duro” Min-gyu, shared his thoughts on the victory in an interview with Sheep Esports.
"This is my first World Championship and my first year in the LCK, so of course, I'm glad we've made it this far. But I can't say I'm completely happy and at ease — the semifinals are ahead, and I must reach the final. It's too early to celebrate."
Noted Duro

He also mentioned that he used to get very nervous at major tournaments, but experience in series like MSI, EWC, and Home Ground has helped him manage his nerves:

With each match, I feel more confident, and now the pressure doesn't stop me from playing my best game.

Summarizing the series against Hanwha Life, the player acknowledged that Generation Gaming could have won faster:

Except for the third map, we played quite well. But there were minor mistakes that prolonged the games. I think we could have finished everything more simply and cleanly.

In response to a question about preparation, Duro emphasized that Generation Gaming continues to refine their drafts:

We are all individually strong, but we don't always perfectly align in the pick process. We discuss a lot and adjust our strategy even during boot camp.

In conclusion, Duro shared who he would like to face in the semifinals:

Honestly, the first that comes to mind is CTBC Flying Oyster . KT Rolster is a great team, but we've faced them too often. I want something new, so I would prefer to play against CFO.
