NAVI has officially parted ways with GianFranco "koalanoob" Potestio following a disappointing run at VCT 2025: EMEA Stage 1. The organization announced the roster change on their official X (formerly Twitter) page.

GianFranco "koalanoob" Potestio remains under contract but has been moved to the inactive roster. NAVI has granted him permission to explore future opportunities. The player himself has expressed a strong desire to continue competing, emphasizing his commitment to training and expanding into new in-game roles.

After Stage 1 results, we have made the difficult decision to move Koalanoob from the starting roster, who is now a restricted free agent & able to explore other options. We are deeply grateful for all the dedication, commitment and hard-work Koala has shown for NAVI over the past months & wish him the best on the server.

GianFranco "koalanoob" Potestio

koalanoob joined NAVI in December 2024 alongside three other new signings. During his time on the roster, the team competed at two official events: VCT 2025: EMEA Kickoff (9th–12th place) and VCT 2025: EMEA Stage 1 (5th–6th place), as well as the EWC 2025 Qualifier, where they placed 5th. Over his last 15 matches, he averaged a 207 ACS — a middle-of-the-pack stat on the team. For now, he’ll remain on NAVI’s inactive roster until either the end of his contract or a suitable offer comes in.

NAVI’s next and possibly final event of the year will be VCT 2025: EMEA Stage 2, set to begin in July (exact date TBD). The tournament will take place on LAN in BerLIN , Germany, with a $250,000 prize pool and two qualification spots for Champions 2025 up for grabs.
