Apeks has made an official announcement regarding the transfer of player Peter “Governor” to inactive status. The player is taking a break from competition due to a chronic hand injury. Currently, a replacement for Governor in the active roster has not been announced. This information was revealed through an official statement by Apeks on social media and a post from the player himself.
Governor joined Apeks on March 19, 2025, and was part of the team until April 29. Despite the relatively short period and the unsuccessful performance of both the player and the team, Apeks acknowledged his contribution to team dynamics and expressed support for his decision to focus on recovering his physical and mental health. In his personal statement, Governor apologized for his form in recent months, attributing it to issues with numbness and pain in his hand, as well as emotional burnout.
Apeks has already completed its participation in the VCT 2025: EMEA Stage 1, and players are actively leaving the team. Previously, Ava “florescent” Eugene left the team — more details about her departure can be found at this link. This year, Apeks is competing at the tier-1 level for the first time. Whether the organization can cope with the challenges and remain on the pro scene will become clear by the end of the second split.
