Time: 2025-05-09 07:57 (UTC)

Counter-Strike legend Robert “RobbaN” Dahlström is returning to esports in a new role: he will become a teacher at the Swedish school Ädelfors Folkhögskola, where he will teach esports to people with encephalopathy and other NPD diagnoses. The courses will start in September 2025, and this is the first project of its kind in Sweden .

This news is striking in its social significance: RobbaN, who was a player, coach of FaZe Clan , and one of the key figures in the development of CS, will now help people with disabilities find themselves in esports by receiving support in training and socialization.

RobbaN's story: from player to coach
RobbaN is a legend in Swedish esports. In the 2000s, he played for Begrip Gaming , Ninjas in Pyjamas , and SK Gaming, winning numerous titles, including a victory at CPL Winter 2005 and a second place at WCG 2006. As a coach of FaZe Clan (2016-2022), he led the team to 2nd place at ELEAGUE Major 2018 and victory at PGL Major Antwerp 2022. After completing his coaching career, RobbaN joined the Next Level project from Ädelfors Folkhögskola, funded by Allmänna arvsfonden, to teach esports to people with PFDs.

Course details and goals
The courses will start in September 2025 and will include an introductory program for school dropouts and a post-school course. Students will receive individualized support in their studies, living and leisure activities. The school focuses on the pedagogical, social and technical needs of students. Ädelfors is currently looking for other esports experts to teach.

Why is it important?
This project is a unique step for inclusion in esports. RobbaN will not only share its experience but also help people with disabilities find their place in the industry. This can serve as an example for other countries and organizations.
