NS explained the reason for Watson's failures in Gaimin Gladiators

Time: 2025-01-20 14:08 (UTC)

Yaroslav "NS" Kuznetsov commented that Alimzhan "Watson" Islambekov, the new carry for Gaimin Gladiators , plays too many pub games and is therefore unable to keep up with the pace of the official matches. That is the reason why his performance at his newly joined team is not up to the mark.

The streamer and also a former esports player gave these thoughts in a recent twitch stream.

“Watson needs to stop playing pubs. If I were the coach of GG, I would literally put a cap on how many pub games Watson is allowed to play, maybe even entirely. I would say, ‘That’s it dude, no more pubs for a month, only training with the team.’ Go for a walk, I don’t know, breathe fresh air, play tennis, anything, just no pubs, and focus on training with the team”

NS particularly laid emphasis that Watson should concentrate on just the team training and in the meantime purely graphics the pub gaming altogether. As he remarked, the speed in which matchmaking games are played is very different from the speed in which tournaments are played and that is detrimental for the Gaimin Gladiators new carry.

“He doesn’t feel the game, the pace, during the game. He has played so much in pubs that it feels like he is always playing in a pub game. He does not realize that some people play very aggressively and seize every micro-opportunity”

And that is the difference between pro scene and pubs. The tempo is clearly different,” the streamer said, “even players with 15k MMR won’t play this fast in official matches.” NS considers this to be the most critical challenge that Watson is dealing. He thinks GG’s coach should prevent Watson from placing matchmaking for some time.

Earlier, Roman "RAMZES666" Kushnarev openly compared Yegor "Nightfall" Grigorenko and Alimzhan "Watson" Islambekov, saying who is the better player.
