Fng revealed the real reason behind Miracle's failures in Nigma Galaxy

Time: 2025-02-11 09:20 (UTC)

Artem “ Fng ”Barshak, former captain at Virtus.Pro , claims that Nigma Galaxy player Amer “Miracle” Al-Barkawi cannot replicate his previous results because Dota 2 is vastly different than how it used to be, and so is the player's approach towards the game.

He said this during a twitch stream.

"Dota has changed. The strategy termed as ‘four plus one’ is now completely outdated. It has been out of the game for quite some time now. There was a period where it was possible. Essentially, the last TI where ‘four plus one’ was plausible was the seventh. When mid had a ton of creeps, offlane wasn’t a duo lane, and there was a roaming position four. Mid was way more significant back then, and that’s when he was playing mid. And that was the period where he truly started solo carrying games"

Fng remarked that the point of the game where a single player was able to dominantly take over a match has long departed from Dota 2, and it’s far more about teamwork. As he notes, for a long time now, synergy between teammates has had greater significance than personal skill. This is the reason why Miracle's performances have dipped, he hasn’t adjusted to the newer intricacies of professional Dota 2.

It should be pointed out that many have said bad things about Miracle’s performance after coming back to the pro scene. The last tournament he won was back in 2018.

Like Yaroslav “NS” Kuznetsov, he also thinks that Nigma Galaxy started performing better immediately after Miracle was removed from the lineup.
