Closed qualifiers for The International 2025 kicked off on June 4 in South America and Eastern Europe. In other regions, the qualifiers will begin later. Teams are competing for eight spots in the year's main tournament. Below are the current qualification results by region.
South America
In the upper bracket, Edge defeated Heroic with a score of 2:1, becoming the first to reach the grand final of the qualifier. In the lower bracket, OG .LATAM eliminated Team Sin Compromiso (2:1) but then lost to Heroic in the lower bracket final (1:2). Thus, Heroic secured the second spot in the grand final, where they won the rematch against Edge with a score of 3:1, winning the qualifier.
Eastern Europe
In the upper bracket final, Aurora Gaming defeated Natus Vincere with a score of 2:1 and advanced to the grand final of the qualifier. In the lower bracket, Cyber Goose successively defeated Nemiga Gaming (2:0) and Natus Vincere (2:1), securing their place in the final. In the decisive match of the tournament, Aurora Gaming confidently beat Cyber Goose with a score of 3:0 and claimed the slot.
Southeast Asia
The qualification starts on June 13 with first-round matches between InterActive Philippines and Kopite , as well as Team Nemeton and Tech Free Gaming . The winners of these matches will advance to the quarterfinals, where they will face Trailer PB , Ivory , Talon Esports , Castawake , Execration , and BOOM Esports .
Western Europe
The qualification will begin on June 13 with four first-round matches in the upper bracket. The tournament will open with NAVI Junior and Yellow Submarine —the winner of this pair will face Nigma Galaxy in the next stage. Then, Virtus.Pro will play against 4Pirates , and their winner will move on to a match against AVULUS. In the evening, two quarterfinals will also take place: MOUZ will face 1win Team , and OG will play against Team Secret .
North America
The qualification will start on June 9 with a match between 4 Anchors + Dota Sama and TT Team in the first upper bracket quarterfinal. Later that day, Shopify Rebellion will play against CDUB Esports . The next day will feature matches between Wildcard and Team Slayers , and Yoru Ryodan against BSJ and friends. Winners will continue to compete in the upper bracket semifinals.
China
The qualification will begin on June 9 with upper bracket quarterfinal matches. In the first round, Tearlaments will face Excel Esports , Yakult's Brothers will play against Team Curtain , Xtreme Gaming will compete with Vici Gaming , and Azure Ray will meet Future Gaming. Winners will advance to the semifinals.
Closed qualifiers for The International 2025 are taking place in June across all six regions and will serve as the final stage of selection for the year's main tournament.
