Miroslav "Mira" Kolpakov claimed that the teams competing in both Riyadh Masters and The International have for a long time and at the highest levels of competitive Dota 2 abused smoke bugs and that this has never been a secret.

The two-time champion revealed this during a twitch stream.

“Like this, there have been five smoke bugs and everyone has been abusing it for years. They clicked these smokes at both Internationals and Riyadh Masters; everyone is on an equal footing and you can put the enemy at a disadvantage for using the pump by placing a second smoke in the auto-bay and clicking it while the enemy clicks on my looks. By the time I clicked over there and sniped everyone, it is game over”

Mira noted that there have been several of such smoke bugs, and tier 1 teams had no shame in using them. In his words, they were used even at the most important Dota 2 tournaments. He stated this was known when so many players chose to use them just to maintain the equality in the level playing field. If what Mira said turns out to be true, then this could indeed warrant an extensive investigation and even a covering of the consequences for the bug abusers from the most well-known teams in the Dota 2 pro scene.

Remember that Team Spirit had earlier stated that they would take punitive measures against Denis “Larl” Sigitov due to bug abuse in one of the matches.
