On June 4, the second open qualifiers for The International 2025 concluded in four regions—South America, Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia, and Western Europe. As a result of these stages, 11 new participants were determined to advance to the closed qualifiers.
South America
In the South American region, the strongest team was Veritas Brotherhood. The team confidently went through the entire tournament without losing a single map and reached the grand final, where TeamDk forfeited, resulting in a technical defeat. TeamDk will also participate in the closed qualifiers. The third participant of the stage was Sustancia X , who defeated Estar Backs 2-0 in the bronze match.
Eastern Europe
In Eastern Europe, the battle for slots was intense, but in the tournament final, Kalmychata proved stronger than ESpoiled and secured a direct advance to the next round. Despite the loss, ESpoiled also received an invitation to the closed qualifiers thanks to their finals appearance. In the third-place match, Quantum defeated Lynx and claimed the third slot.
Southeast Asia
In Southeast Asia, two teams advanced to the closed qualifiers. Team Nemean reached the finals, where they received a technical victory over Kopite , who withdrew from participation. Both teams secured the only two slots from the region by winning their semifinals without much difficulty.
Western Europe
In Western Europe, Team Secret emerged as the strongest—going through the bracket undefeated and defeating Yellow Submarine in the semifinals, securing their spot in the closed qualifiers. Virtus.Pro also earned a slot by defeating Zero Tenacity in the upper bracket. The last slot went to Yellow Submarine , who took revenge on Zero Tenacity in the decisive lower bracket match.
