French organization Gentle Mates has officially signed 17-year-old Berkcan "ComeBack" Şentürk, who left BBL PCIFIC on June 5. The announcement was made via the team’s official social media page on X.
Berkcan "ComeBack" Şentürk is just days away from turning 18, which means he will be eligible to compete in VCT 2025: EMEA Stage 2 — potentially the final tournament for Gentle Mates in the VCT franchised league. Previously, he played for Turkish team BBL PCIFIC , his first professional squad, with whom he nearly reached the top of the Challengers scene. In 2024, ComeBack and Pcific Esports (now BBL PCIFIC ) reached the Ascension Grand Final, but fell short against Apeks. Even if they had won, most players, including ComeBack, would have been ineligible for VCT due to the minimum age requirement of 18.
As previously reported, the next event for the updated Gentle Mates roster featuring ComeBack will be VCT 2025: EMEA Stage 2, set to take place in July (exact date TBA). The tournament will feature a $250,000 prize pool, EMEA circuit points, and two slots at Champions 2025.
