Sentinels and G2 Esports defeated Cloud9 and NRG respectively in the upper bracket of the VCT 2025: Americas Stage 2 playoffs, advancing to the final where they will battle on August 30 for a direct slot at Champions 2025.

Sentinels vs. Cloud9
Sentinels beat Cloud9 2:1 in maps (Corrode 13:10, Icebox 9:13, Lotus 13:10). For C9, this marks their fourth consecutive loss to Sentinels , after which they dropped to the lower bracket where they will play against the winner of 100 Thieves vs. Evil Geniuses for survival.

The best player of this match was Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro, who, playing as an anchor, nearly became the top fragger with 53 kills. His ACS was 228 and his ADR 149, which is 18% better than his recent averages. 

G2 Esports vs. NRG
G2 Esports , even after a roster change replacing a core player, continue to dominate North American teams. Their latest victory came against NRG with a 2:1 score (Corrode 10:13, Sunset 13:11, Bind 13:7). With this win, G2 Esports advanced to the upper bracket final, while NRG will play on August 25 in the lower bracket for tournament survival.

The best player, despite his team’s defeat, was Sam “s0m” Oh, who secured the most kills on the smoker role with 63, while recording an ACS of 258 and ADR of 162. 

VCT 2025: Americas Stage 2 is held from July 18 to August 31 in the United States. The event features 12 teams competing for a $250,000 prize pool and two slots at VALORANT Champions 2025.
