Team Spirit officially signed 17-year-old zweih

Time: 2025-07-07 12:16 (UTC)

A new player has been announced for Team Spirit 's CS2 roster. To replace Boris “magixx” Vorobyov, who was recently transferred to inactive status, the team signed one of the region's most promising young talents, Ivan “zweih” Gogin, who previously played for Nemiga Gaming . Spirit announced this on their social media accounts.

Who is zweih?
Ivan Gogin is a 17-year-old rifler from Russia who started his professional career just over a year ago. He quickly made his way from the academies to the top scene, and with Nemiga Gaming he showed consistent play in the anchor position. His style is disciplined, positional, with a growing influence on each map.

As part of Nemiga, he maintained a rating of 6.3, despite playing mainly against opponents from the top 30. Ivan has already played his first major — BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, where Nemiga performed well, although they were eliminated in stage 3 by paiN Gaming .

Achievements in Nemiga Gaming
Despite his young age, zweih has already won several important trophies:

First place at RES Regional Champions (2024) — victory over UNPAID in the final;
Victories at RES European Series #5 and HellCup #10, with final triumphs over Rhyno and Endpoint ;
Finals of ESL Challenger League, HellCup #11, and FASTCUP CSGORUN Cup, where the team showed consistency on the online scene;
Debut at the Major in Austin — despite being eliminated, it was an important milestone for the entire team.
In total, in his short career, zweih has already won over $62,000 in prize money, which is a solid result for a newcomer to the scene.

What will change in Team Spirit ?
Considering that zweih occupies a similar position to magixx and zont1x, it is likely that Team Spirit is considering broader changes to the team's structure. However, at the moment, only magixx's departure from the starting lineup has been confirmed, while zont1x remains on the roster.

With the signing of zweih, the team seems to be looking to rejuvenate its roster and bet on mechanically strong and flexible young players who will be able to support donk, chopper, and zont1x in upcoming major tournaments, including IEM Cologne 2025.

Current Roster of Team Spirit :
Leonid "chopper" Vishnyakov
Myroslav "zont1x" Plakhotia
Danil "donk" Kryshkovets
Dmitriy "sh1ro" Sokolov
Ivan "zweih" Gogin

Spirit's new course
This transfer once again emphasizes that Team Spirit is an organization that knows how to work with young talent. donk, zont1x, and now zweih have all proven that trusting young players brings trophies. In 2024–2025, Spirit has already become the leader of the CS2 era, winning Katowice, the Major in Shanghai, BLAST, and PGL Astana.

Now the team is starting a new cycle, and zweih could become an important part of this story.
