Time: 2025-12-23 11:30 (UTC)

The organization KRU, co-founded by Lionel Messi and Sergio Agüero, has officially announced the suspension of its Counter-Strike 2 roster.

All players have been granted free agent status and have left the club.

Decision and the Roster Leaving KRU

The current roster included  Reversive righi Misfit trindade , as well as assistant coach  Andrew . All members are now free to seek new teams independently. According to club representatives, the decision is linked to changes in KRU's internal structure and a reassessment of priorities on the esports scene.

Team Achievements

The South American KRU roster made a mark in several regional tournaments. Among the team's achievements:

  • 1st place at ESEA Season 48: Open Division — South America ($1,000)
  • 3rd–4th place at CCT Season 3: South American Series #1 ($1,500)
  • 3rd–4th place at CBCS Season 5 ($1,843)
  • 3rd–4th place at RES Latin American Series #4 ($5,000)

These results helped the team establish itself as a consistent participant in regional competitions, leaving a notable impact on the scene.

Despite the pause in the CS2 division, KRU does not plan to fully exit Counter-Strike. The organization intends to explore opportunities for relaunching the project and returning to the discipline with a new roster soon. Meanwhile, the released players are already seeking new teams and could quickly strengthen other South American squads.
