Movistar KOI to Retain Current Roster for 2026 LEC Season

Time: 2025-11-12 22:00 (UTC)

The roster of  Movistar KOI  for League of Legends will remain unchanged for the next season.

This was announced by Ibai Llanos and Sergio "SergioFerra" Salcedo on November 11 during a live broadcast on the organization's Twitch channel. The leaders confirmed that all players will stay with the team, and the club will focus on developing its academy, following the example of  Karmine Corp .

According to Ibai, all team members have active contracts until the end of 2026, and the organization fully trusts the project. Currently, Movistar KOI is negotiating contract extensions with key figures—head coach Thomas "Melzhet" Campelos, as well as players Javier "Elyoya" Prades, Joseph "Jojopyun" Pyun, and Alvaro "Alvaro" Fernandez del Amo. Contracts may be extended at least until 2027. It is noted that Jojopyun is satisfied with his experience competing in Europe and is ready to continue the collaboration.

At the same time, David "Supa" Garcia and Alex "Myrwn" Villarejo are not involved in the current negotiations but remain in the pool of players with whom the organization may renew contact in 2026—everything will depend on their form and motivation.

Additionally, Movistar KOI plans to expand the coaching staff by adding two new specialists to support the main team. The club's academy will become an important part of the overall structure—Melzhet will continue to oversee player transitions between the main and youth rosters.

Following the Karmine Corp model, the organization intends to develop the  Movistar KOI Fénix project in the Spanish league and collaborate with Tier-3 level teams. The academy will focus on scouting young Spanish players with high potential who can enter the LEC within two years.

  • Mid: Joseph "Jojopyun" Pyun
  • ADC: David "Supa" Garcia
  • Support: Alvaro "Alvaro" Fernandez del Amo
