Top Laner LYON Zamudo Goes Inactive Due to US Esports Visa Denial

Time: 2026-01-13 11:00 (UTC)

The club LYON announced that Frankie "Zamudo" Lin will be unable to compete for the team in the LCS due to being denied a U.S. esports visa and is temporarily going inactive.

The organization's statement noted that the relevant authorities did not see sufficient grounds to approve his application.

A similar situation occurred with Zamudo in 2025 during the spring split. At that time, due to visa issues, the player was demoted to the academy roster, but he was also unable to fully participate there for the same reason.

During Zamudo's absence, his spot on the main roster of LYON will be filled by Niship "Dhokla" Doshi. The organization did not specify when the player might return or whether there are plans to resubmit the visa application.

In 2026, the LCS introduced a new interregional tournament, the Americas Cup, which will take place in São Paulo. Riot Games will also organize and fully fund bootcamps in Korea for the strongest teams of the LCS and CBLOL spring splits during MSI 2026. More details can be found in the article.

LYON's Roster for LCS 2026:

  • Niship "Dhokla" Doshi
  • Kacper "Inspired" Słoma
  • Kan "Saint" Song-in
  • Kim "Berserker" Min-cheol
  • Jonah "Isles" Rosario
