Riot Games is reportedly planning to split the VCT Americas league into two separate regions — North America and South America, with the latter featuring teams from Brazil and Latin America. The information comes from Brazilian outlet ATUALIZADO.

Currently, VCT has only four regions — EMEA, Pacific, China, and Americas — with teams from both South and North America competing together in the Americas league. According to the rumors, Riot is considering forming a dedicated LATAM & Brazil region, similar to the structure already present in the League of Legends ecosystem.

Such a change would only be possible starting in 2027, as agreements for the current and next seasons are already in place.

The move is expected to improve competitiveness and provide more growth opportunities for emerging teams from Brazil and Latin America, who currently compete with North American squads for VCT slots.
