Valve Releases 1.1 GB Patch Fixing Movement and Collision Updates on Ancient and Train

Time: 2025-09-24 03:00 (UTC)

In the night of September 24th, Counter-Strike 2 received an update weighing about 1.1 GB.

This time, the developers focused on fixing bugs related to player movement and movement accuracy on certain maps.

Maps

  • Ancient and Train: Various player clipping fixes
  • A bug was fixed where a player could not start moving when simultaneously shaking the mouse
  • An error was resolved where the movement speed on ramps was abnormally low.

In this update, issues on the Ancient and Train maps were addressed, where a player could not start moving when colliding with steps or other obstacles due to abrupt mouse movements. This is the bug that NiKo mentioned, but it's unclear if it has indeed been fixed.

Let us recall that the previous update was released on September 19th and was the third in quick succession. At that time, Valve eliminated a regression with view punch that affected spray accuracy and optimized server performance by removing the issue with long frames when players connected or disconnected.
