A bug was discovered in Dota 2 that allows players to become invincible and destroy towers at the start of the match

Time: 2025-01-26 09:08 (UTC)

A Safety Bubble exploit bug in Dota 2 enables Meepo and Lone Druid to dominate their enemies by destroying three towers at the start of the match. This is possible because they are nearly invincible during that period.

The new exploit bug was first revealed by Team Spirit analyst Mark “sikle” Lerman on his Telegram channel.

“You don’t really have to do much. As soon as you pick up the neutral item, the barrier on the bear (or clone) fully refreshes with every change to your inventory: moving an item, purchasing, dropping—anything. Essentially, if you keep swapping item slots, the barrier will instantly refresh. This can be abused infinitely”

As per Mark Lerman, it is as simple as changing the neutral item on Meepo clone or Lone Druid’s bear to retake the Safety Bubble. This is very simple and can be abused infinite times. Yes, 100 hp is like nothing in the later stages of the game. But at the start, it enables the player to take down as much as three towers of the enemy, which does create a lot of issues in their strategies.

Such broad cheats already have players complaining on Reddit about Fairview being put at a disadvantage in matchmaking. They are moving Valve to fix the problem.

It is important to highlight that Valve has recently released an emergency Dota 2 update after several problems emerged in the professional scene.
