In June 2025, the closed qualifiers for the Esports World Cup 2025 for Dota 2 began. Teams from six regions are competing for spots in the main summer tournament, which will take place from July 7 to July 19 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia . Each region has only one slot allocated for the championship.
Western Europe
The opening matches took place on June 5. OG defeated Zero Tenacity with a score of 2:1, MOUZ confidently beat Passion UA (2:0), and NAVI Junior left no chance for 1win Team (2:0). In the upper bracket semifinals, AVULUS dealt with OG (2:0), while MOUZ outplayed NAVI Junior — 2:1. The upper bracket final promises to be intense, with AVULUS and MOUZ facing off. In the lower bracket, Passion UA and 1win Team will play against each other, with the winner meeting OG . NAVI Junior , on the other hand, will try to advance in the match against Zero Tenacity .
North America
The qualifiers in the region are held on June 5 and 7. Shopify Rebellion showed excellent form by defeating 9z Team (2:0). Wildcard confidently defeated Yoru Ryodan with the same score. Shopify and Wildcard will meet in the upper bracket final. In the lower part of the bracket, 9z Team will play against Yoru Ryodan .
Middle East, South Asia, and Africa
The qualification stage begins on June 8. In the first round of the upper bracket, Nigma Galaxy will play against sifr00, and Virtus.Pro will face Team Secret . The winners will continue to fight for the sole ticket to Riyadh.
Southeast Asia
Matches will be held from June 8 to 10. Among the first-round pairs are BOOM Esports versus Kukuys , Yangon Galacticos against Tech Free Gaming , Castawake playing Execration , and Ivory taking on InterActive Philippines .
Eastern Europe
The qualifying stage is scheduled for June 11–13. In the first round, Natus Vincere will meet ESpoiled , Runa Team will face One Move , TEAM NEXT LEVEL will play 4Pirates , and L1ga Team will battle Cyber Goose.
South America
Regional qualifiers also start on June 11. In the opening matches, Team Den will face Estar Backs , Edge will play against Veritas Brothers , OG .LATAM will take on Team Sin Compromiso . In the semifinals, Heroic is already waiting for the winner of the Den/Estar pair.
