Closed qualifiers for The International 2025 kicked off on June 4 in South America and Eastern Europe. In other regions, the qualifiers will start later. Teams are competing for eight spots at the year's main tournament. Below are the current qualification results by region.
South America
In the upper bracket of the tournament, Team Sin Compromiso , Heroic , OG .LATAM, and Edge advanced to the semifinals—all four teams secured confident 2:0 victories in their matches. Team Sin Cortex will face Heroic , and OG LATAM will play against Edge. The battle for survival continues in the lower bracket. Sustancia X advanced after a technical victory over Veritas Brotherhood, while Team Den eliminated TeamDk. In the next round of the lower bracket, AllStars will play against Sustancia X , and Infamous will try to stop Team Den .
Eastern Europe
In the upper bracket of the tournament, One Move , Aurora Gaming, L1ga Team , and Natus Vincere have advanced to the semifinals. All four teams achieved decisive victories and will compete for a spot in the upper bracket final. One Move will play against Aurora Gaming, and L1ga Team will face Natus Vincere . In the lower bracket, Nemiga Gaming previously eliminated ESpoiled and is now playing against Quantum . A match between Runa Team and Cyber Goose is also expected.
Southeast Asia
The qualification will begin on June 13 with first-round matches between InterActive Philippines and Kopite , as well as Team Nemeton and Tech Free Gaming . Winners of these matches will advance to the quarterfinals, where they will face Trailer PB , Ivory , Talon Esports , Castawake , Execration , and BOOM Esports .
Western Europe
The qualification will start on June 13 with four first-round matches of the upper bracket. The tournament will open with NAVI Junior and Yellow Submarine —the winner of this pair will meet Nigma Galaxy in the next stage. Then, Virtus.Pro will play against 4Pirates , and their winner will continue to face AVULUS. In the evening, two quarterfinals will also take place: MOUZ will play against 1win Team , and OG will face Team Secret .
North America
The qualification will start on June 9 with a match between 4 Anchors + Dota Sama and TT Team in the first quarterfinal of the upper bracket. Later that same day, Shopify Rebellion will play against CDUB Esports . The next day, matches will be held between Wildcard and Team Slayers, and Yoru Ryodan against BSJ and friends. Winners will advance to the upper bracket semifinals.
China
The qualification will begin on June 9 with upper bracket quarterfinals. In the first round, Tearlaments will face Excel Esports , Yakult's Brothers will play against Team Curtain , Xtreme Gaming will meet Vici Gaming , and Azure Ray will compete against Future Gaming. Winners will advance to the semifinals.
The closed qualifiers for The International 2025 are taking place in June across all six regions and will be the final stage of selection for the year's main tournament. Each region features invited teams and those that advanced through open stages. The qualifications will allocate eight slots: two for Western Europe and Southeast Asia, and one each for Eastern Europe, China , North America, and South America.
