In June 2025, the closed qualifiers for the Esports World Cup 2025 for Dota 2 began. Teams from six regions are battling for spots in the main summer tournament, which will take place from July 7 to July 19 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Each region has only one slot allocated for the championship.
Western Europe
AVULUS secured a spot in the grand final by defeating MOUZ with a score of 2:1 in the upper bracket final. MOUZ will face NAVI Junior for the last ticket to the decisive match — NAVI previously defeated Zero Tenacity (2:0) and 1win Team (2:1) in the lower bracket.
North America
Shopify Rebellion confidently advanced to the grand final, defeating Wildcard with a score of 2:0 in the upper bracket final. In the lower bracket, Yoru Ryodan defeated 9z Team (2:0) and will now face Wildcard for the right to play in the final.
Middle East, South Asia, and Africa
The qualification stage starts on June 8. In the first round of the upper bracket, Nigma Galaxy will play against sifr00, and Virtus.Pro will face Team Secret . The winners will continue to compete for the sole ticket to Riyadh.
Southeast Asia
The matches will take place from June 8 to June 10. Among the first-round pairs are BOOM Esports against Kukuys , Yangon Galacticos will meet Tech Free Gaming , Castawake will play Execration , and Ivory will face InterActive Philippines .
Eastern Europe
The qualifying stage is scheduled for June 11-13. In the first round, Natus Vincere will face ESpoiled , Runa Team will play against One Move , TEAM NEXT LEVEL will compete with 4Pirates , and L1ga Team will battle Cyber Goose.
South America
The regional qualifiers also start on June 11. In the initial matches, Team Den will face Estar Backs , Edge will play against Veritas Brothers , and OG.LATAM will compete with Team Sin Compromiso . In the semifinals, Heroic awaits the winner of the Den/Estar match.
