Tournament Format

Participants will first face a group stage in a bo3 format.

• Group A: Two teams from LPL , one from LCK, and one from LCP.
• Group B: Two teams from LCK, one from LPL , and one from LCP.

The top two teams from each group will advance to the playoffs. A double-elimination bracket will be played in bo3, with the grand final in a bo5 format. Rumor has it the tournament will be held online to avoid interfering with preparation for Worlds.

Who Can Qualify for the Tournament

Organizers have not yet announced the participants, but based on recent splits, potential representatives can be speculated:

• LCK:  BNK FEARX ,  Nongshim RedForce , and the team that loses the decisive match for a Worlds slot between  T1  and  Dplus KIA .
• LPL : Two teams that lost in the regional finals, and possibly  EDward Gaming  or  Ninjas in Pyjamas , who finished 7th–8th in the regular season.
• LCP:  GAM Esports , who failed to surpass Team Secret Whales, and MGN Vikings Esports, who will compete right after the promotion tournament.

Significance of ASI

Although Asia Invitations ASI won't feature giants like  Generation Gaming ,  Hanwha Life Esports ,  Bilibili Gaming , or  CTBC Flying Oyster , the level of participants will be extremely high. Possible players include scene legends Heo "ShowMaker" Su and Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok from LCK, as well as top rosters from Weibo,  JD Gaming ,  Invictus Gaming ,  Top Esports , and Anyone’s Legend from LPL .

For many teams, ASI will be a second chance to make a mark on the international stage and build momentum for the next season, while for viewers, it's an opportunity to witness thrilling matches from stars who just missed out on Worlds.
