Vivo Keyd Stars Trymbi: "I'm not going to Worlds just to tick a box. I want to prove the West can compete"

Time: 2025-09-23 18:00 (UTC)

Vivo Keyd Stars  found themselves in a tough spot after a painful 0-3 defeat to  FlyQuest  in the League of Legends Championship of The Americas (LTA) playoffs.

The champions of the Southern Conference now face the challenge of proving they can compete on equal footing with the strongest opponents in the lower bracket.

In an interview with Sheep Esports, VKS support Adrian "Trymbi" Trybus shared his thoughts on the setback, prospects for Worlds, and personal goals.

On the Defeat to FlyQuest

According to the player, the series was one-sided:

They just outplayed us. In the first game, we had a chance to punish their mistakes, but we played too passively and ended up weaker in the late game. In the other games, we didn't impose our strategy, while FlyQuest confidently executed theirs.

Trymbi noted that preparation and drafts could have been better, but the main issue was that the team couldn't play in their style.

Goal — To Show the Best at Worlds

Despite qualifying for the World Championship, the player is convinced: just making it there is not enough.

I'm not here for a participation trophy. I want to compete and prove that the West is capable of more. It's important for me to show quality gameplay, not just make an appearance on stage.

Future and Contract

The player's contract is nearing its end, and he doesn't rule out continuing his career in either South America or Europe:

I'm open to offers. The main thing for me is to join a project where I can fully develop and compete for results at Worlds.

Message to the Fans

The player admitted being disappointed with the series against FlyQuest but promised that the team will correct their mistakes and come back stronger:

I want the fans to know — we came here to fight. We didn’t show anything we’re capable of today, but in the lower bracket, we’ll try to fix that.
