A Confident Start to the Title Journey

On September 7, G2 showed resilience by overcoming Karmine Corp despite their opponent's unconventional draft. BrokenBlade noted that the team focused on their own style of play and avoided repeating the scenario from the winter split:

Previously, we thought too much about what KC was doing. Today we just played our game. We don't want a repeat of the Winter Split, where we won first and then lost. Now the only goal is to beat everyone and win the split.  

The matchup against Kim “Canna” Chang-dong, who used his entire champion pool, was particularly challenging for him. However, G2 managed to adapt and turn the series around.

Regaining Confidence and Focusing on Madrid

BrokenBlade admitted that after a poor performance at the MSI, he had to rethink his career and pay attention to his mental state:

I wasn't in the best shape, and it hit me hard. But it's through such moments that you learn to deal with the lows. Now I feel strong again and want to prove it in the playoffs.  

The player added that returning to Madrid, where the team already faced difficulties in the spring, will be a special challenge:

If we play against MKOI in the final, the whole arena will be for them. But we like the pressure. This is sports — sometimes the whole world is against you.

Looking at the Competitors

According to BrokenBlade, G2 currently stands out among other European teams:

Many teams crumble under pressure. Fnatic and KC have become weaker, MKOI maintains their level. But we are the only team that has truly improved. We've fixed our mistakes and are moving towards the title. 

The player emphasized that despite the success, the team is not satisfied: without winning the split, the season cannot be considered complete.

Future Goals

For BrokenBlade and the entire G2 roster, the goal is clear — to reclaim the title of European champions and prepare for Worlds 2025:

The old recipes no longer worked. Now we've found new ingredients and are on the right path. But we can only say everything worked out when we lift the trophy.
